Now that we're going to have this Pacific League for clubs that aren't going to meet criteria, are there plans in the works to bring back the Sunshine Coast?
That would be a great road trip

Makes just about as much sense as craft's post :-p But the point is, Beenleigh have qualified and All-Stars are very unlikely to qualify

I know, yet Surfers have U16's in Brisbane and both have U20's in Brisbane. The Mudgy team in the Gold Coast League is U/17's but Surfers also have a side in there?? I was actually curious about how that works. Surely it goes on the Gold Coast league that is run in the winter yeah? If so, is it next winter or last winter? Could a club like rapids say that they intend to put in a team in for next winter, and therefore meet criteria?

The Mudgy team in the Gold Coast League is U/17's but Surfers also have a side in there?? □ 27 Senior registered players (not including U18’s) □ 60 Junior registered players □ Must enter a minimum of one team in the GBL U14, U16 and U20 competitions; together with a minimum of one team in each of Little League, U8 and U10. I do not make the rules.. I just read them. According to this Surfers and Mudgy do not qualify.

I am hearing you Ramsfan but for the past number of years, Gold Coast teams have had exemptions in the Under 14's (only). For the last couple of years they have not been able to have players picked in the GBL All Stars games as they are ineligible, yet it is a criteria as you have stated. Ironically 2 years ago they then played the All Star game at Surfers!!!!!

Seems to me like there is a lot of contradictory evidence available regarding the qualification rules, even though the rules are so readily available... could make for an interesting next 2 weeks as we see which (and how) teams make the major league and the pacific league.

a few months ago, a soccer club took out an injunction in the supreme court to halt the top league playing at all until the club's exclusion from the top league was heard by the court...
