[C'mon Smithy... where are all the Eagles players from 1976 ][/quote] In 1976, I was playing under 15's at Souths United. I came to Mt.Gravatt Eagles in Under 17's. People I remember from that era at Eagles were Chris Norrie (now with Redlands), Mal Mackay (now involved with Umpiring), Adam Hansen (now with Indians), Barry Albury, Barry Foxover, Tiger Foxover, Craig Sinclair (playing softball the last I heard), Geoff Michelle, Geoff Doyle (Doylee), Eric Power, Bobby Mathers. I can still remember the blue besser block clubhouse / canteen at the showgrounds.

Know most of those names very well. Buster (Barry, catcher) , Tiger ( Merv , 1B) and Toogles ( Len , SS) Foxover brothers.. I've caught up with Barry Albury a few times since and I think he was my Eagles U17 Coach one season... Great to see his son James just got signed again with the White Sox. I remember playing B Grade Seniors for Eagles... year and opposing Team I cannot recall. but a young Mr. G.Nilsson was Pitching V My Eagles team and I could hit him every time, just unfortunately not out of the infield.. LOL I first played Eagles Seniors in C Grade and Kev Albury was our one and only Pitcher . I was SS/2B.. Kev Pitched and a guy who caught was called "Spermy Whale"... I Never knew his real name but i think i learned a lot about women from him.....

I have heard a rumour that BQI are trying to get an official mid-week Masters Comp (over 35) going. How many of you nostalgic guys would be willing to play in a mid-week comp. Don't just dream and talk, get out there and play. I think we should all tell our clubs that we want to play in a Masters Comp. I guess if BQI are willing to administer it, then it would be a great experience. Any thoughts?
