Rams are back to back champions, all of the hard work has paid off boys.
Oustanding effort tonight from the young pitchers Josh Warner who went 7 innings and Jason Kilby who closed the game out. Also Tim Shaw who had 3 hits including a 2out 2 rbi single in the bottom of the 7th to score the go ahead run.

Gareth Jones, Sunday, 18 January 2009 The U18 Queensland Rams team go back to back by defeating W.A. 3 to 2 in the Grand Final of the 2009 AAA (U18) National Championships.
In a tight game the U18 Rams prevailed over a tenacious Western Australian Team 3 to 2 to secure the Jim Brown Shield for a second consecutive year. Josh Warner pitched well through 7 innings before handing over to Brad Gibbs. Jason Kilby slammed the door on WA in 1 1/3 innings. Tim Shaw led the way with the bat going 3 for 4 and driving in two runs to put QLD ahead 3 - 2 in the 7th inning. Joel Mcinnes and Daniel Muggleton both had 2 hits each.

Congratulations to the U18's and the coaches for winning back to back championships!
Logan Wade ended top of the RAMS batting at .425 and 4th overall in the championships. Good on you Logan! Another example of hard work, perserverance and a passion for the game that has delivered results. An example of believe in yourself, keep working and who knows what can happen.
