Well at least for me, a couple of weeks with no games, just some holiday practice.
In the interim, here is a baseball forum game popular in USA when game time discussion is slow:
Last letter of MLB player name is first letter of next post and MLB name. Anyone named MUST have played at least 1 game in MLB.
I'll start it off with Sandy Koufax Next forum poster must name a former or current MLB player whose first name starts with X
anyone??

Wally Pip -- Yankees
Replaced at 1b by then rookie Lou Gehrig -- who then went on to set, what was the record until Cal Ripken Jr broke it -- most consecutive games played.

Ray Oyler -- SS for 1969 Seattle Pilots (who lasted one year in Seattle before moving to Milwaukee to become the Brewers), batting about .183 (just off the top of my head here.)
The answer to a big baseball trivia question -- Who was the defensive replacement for Mickey Stanley in the 1968 World Series? (Detroit wanted to get all of their bats in the lineup, so used Stanley, a centerfielder, at shortstop. Oyler came in for him defensively late in the game.)

A bit more trivia, Oyler was the teams usual shortstop for the season, but wasn't having much luck with the bat, so was benched for the World Series. Stanley wasn't a recognized SS, playing only a dozen games there in nearly 1300 (He was a outfield specialist, wining 4 gold gloves in the position), but as he was hitting well he kept his spot in the team and was moved to SS to make way for Al Kaline who played right field. The changed worked, with Kaline hitting .379 and driving 8 runs in, helping the Tigers win the World Series over the Cardinals

Nick Green - Braves, Rays, Yankees, Mariners, Red Sox.
Green is an infielder, who played SS in place of Julio Lugo when he was on the DL earlier season. Green pitched two hitless innings for the Red Sox late August this year, the first Red Sox position player to do so since 1944.
He also played for our very own IBLA Internationals in 2001
