Just wanting to get a feel for the future players of QLD with the state teams for the upcoming national titles and how do you think QLD will go. By memory let us know if I'm wrong, last years results we had a 1st, 4th and i think 8th.

I think the 14's will have their hands full, the Vic's have a bunch of big hitters and NSW have some gun pitchers.

NOt to sure about the 16's looking stronger than last year, the 16's last year looked good on paper, but perhaps didn't perform upto their abilities, most of that squad came 3rd in the u14's 2 years earlier, so don't know... 18s have good batting depth, pitching, they have some good starters, spose we'll just have to see, they won it from what 5th or 6th last year .......
do we know if there are going to be daily reports done by the coaching staff etc...would be good ...

Hey Buddy, I've learnt that nationals changes everyone into a small fish in a very big pond, and I'm not saying that the 14's aren't good batters or great pitchers, it's just that at that level everyone is.
Also, nationals is as much about overall strategy as it is about individual ability and so a sharp coach with a strong plan can make the difference between finishing in the middle of the pack compared to winning the title. The Qld coaches have a very good pedigree and I'm sure that they will put the 14's in the strongest possible position.
I wish them, and all the Qld teams the best of luck and I hope that all the kids come away from the nationals with a sense of pride for their accomplishments and a sense of satisfaction knowing that they put in their all.
