With a few rounds of double headers coming up for all clubs, thought I'd ask if lower grades still had to finish exactly on time when A grade was playing a double-header
Seems disingenuous to me, considering we now have half-hour breaks in between games. Back >2 seasons ago when there was only 15 minutes break between grades, it was necessary.
But now that there is a longer break between games, do we really need this rule? So that A-grade can stand around for half an hour before their game?
Now that it can be avoided, why do we still rob B and C grade of a last inning? What do you guys think?

I agree, T. It's not just B and C Grade but the Minor grades as well if they are scheduled before a double header.
This effectively can decide their games results in less than 2 hours as a shrewd coach that is ahead leading into the last dig will time waste (ie change pitchers etc)so that the innings is not completed and therefore reverts to the score of the previous innings a la softball.
As you say there is plenty of time to play the games out and plenty of daylight at the end of the day to accomodate A Grade. If they're really worried, start the first game at 8am.
Also, if there are other fields not being utilised on that side of town, use them but give everybody the right to play a full game as we all pay to play!!

I can't agree more with the need for all grades of players getting a fair go with playing times. 30 minutes between games is more than adequate to allow a result regardless of what gradeis playing. This BQ bias towards A grade yet again highlights the lack of respect to participants and paid members who make up the rest of the competition.
