Whoa. Big result Boz
From what I see, the 8 now looks like:
Windsor Pine Hills Wests Indians Surfers Padres
with Beenleigh, Mudgee and Ipswich and potentially All Stars fighting over the last 2 spots.

Apparently if they tie, they will have a one-off game to playoff for 8th during the week of Comissioners Cup Interesting. What then in the event of a 3-way tie? also interested in how B-grade teams will be decided. Percentage? At any rate I can have a pretty good guess at which teams will be playing

What then in the event of a 3-way tie? also interested in how B-grade teams will be decided. Percentage? At any rate I can have a pretty good guess at which teams will be playing T As per the below segment The round robin qualifying round will consist of 15 teams (13 current Major League teams from 08/09 plus Carina and Toowoomba) playing each other once in a qualifying round to determine the Major League (top 8 teams) and Pacific League. (7 teams) The qualifying round will run for 71/2 weeks.
B Grade will play for the Commissioners Shield during the qualifying round. (1st past the post)B grade is determined by the A grade standings. The actual standings in B grade don't matter. Were you serious with your question?

I was talking about the commish cup, which despite what you quoted is apparently being played next week.

Note the word "apparently"[/i]
I heard today from someone who heard from someone else who heard from BQ that there will actually be commish games (it is actually a shield, just cup is easier to say) for A and B grade next week while any tiebreakers to decide the Top 8 are played. From what I've heard, this only went down in the last 24 hours or so
Sounds trustworthy to me, my sources generally don't lie.

Part of an email sent to all clubs on Friday afternoon...
On behalf of Peter Nicholson, the Director of Competitions and Leagues, the weekend of 6 – 8 November, if needed, will be used to separate teams on equal winning percentages, to finalise the top eight positions for the QMBL. The way the ladder is looking, we can envisage that this as a possibility.
Also, on this weekend the two top teams in each of Majors A and B Grades will be contesting the Commissioners Shields.
The Queensland Major Baseball League and Pacific Baseball League will commence on 13 November.
