Pope, how can this situation effect your tipping. Wouldn't your tipping be based on one team being able to beat another. Does it really matter if a player is suspected, (speculation at this moment). What if a player hurt themselves during the week and could not play that weekend, same thing, you are tipping the team, I think. Sorry, I thought it was obvious- I tipped Padres in this game If they win I get the point, if they lose I don't, and if it's a no result, no-one gets points for the game As the instigator of the Tipping comp... My rules.. but pope is correct. I will only be governed by Official BQ results.

I see, sorry for that, I thought it had to do with next week. Although I don't do tipping, maybe the best solution is that, if the game is not decided between the teams so to speak, without taking the control of the game out of the umpires responsibilities, if a team forfeits on their own, they lose, if the game is forfeited in another way, such as the situation discussed, for tipping purposes, the game should be declared a no gamer, ie, 1 point each.
Just a thought.

I assume it would be a regulation game called early, therefore a Padres win

From my understanding of the Rules.
If the game is declared a forfeit, it is a forfeit.
NOTE: This is not in anyway to be linked or associated with the situation that has been commented on earlier.
