This a copy of an email I received today. Well done surfers
Dear Colleague, The Australian Baseball Federation is proud to announce that the Surfers Paradise Baseball club will host the 2009 Australian Little League Championships from June 4-7. Now in its second year the National Little League Championship will see twelve teams battle it out over four days on the Gold Coast to see which team will represent Australia at the Asia Pacific Little League Championship which will be conducted in Taiwan in early July. The Surfers Paradise club will be an ideal location for the tournament with over 120 players and 400 coaches, mums, dads and siblings expected to watch the four days of games as well as have a family holiday and enjoy all the features of the Gold Coast. The Surfers Paradise club will add the Little League championship to the highly successful Pan Pacific Masters Games as major tournaments that it hosts. The first of the state and territory Little League tournaments has just been completed with the remainder taking place over the next two months to ascertain the twelve teams that will compete at the Surfers Paradise club. The Australian Baseball Federation would like to wish all the teams the best of luck in their state and territory championships. For any further queries please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards Grant Weir National Manger Game Development Australian Baseball Federation O414 120 517
