Is there any site that has up to date U18 scores and stats? The WA host site is 3 days behind! Ludicrous in this day and age.
(1 hr later) My bad....I did find something...

Mixed results from the Qld juniors yesterday.
In Geelong the u16's were defeated by Western Australia which barring a major upset ends their chances of finishing any higher than 5th.
In Perth the u18's win yesterday still gives them a chance for the championship. Unless they falter against the 2 bottom teams they will be playing against the No1 team on Friday for a place in the grand final.

Another mixed day for the junior qld teams even though both teams won their games.
The u16s won their game against NSW country but with WA winning as well ends Qlds small chance of playing in the finals. The best they can finish is in 5th spot.
The u18s win against Vic Provincial yesterday wraps up a semi final position. They have 1 game left today against Territories with no bearing on the final positions and then they will play either WA or Victoria in the Grand Final qualifier at 8pm Friday Night.

Well done to the 18's for fighting back for a shot in the Semi's and good luck to them.
Next season, i'd like to see more Regional Superleague games played for 14's, 16's and maybe even LL or U12 pre Xmas.

The under 18' are well and truly back in and a real chance to win the championship.
They now play Victoria tonight with the winner to play the winner of the SA and WA game.
It will be interesting if the ABF stick with this new format next year. It doesnt seem fair to the top 4 teams that they have to play each other in round 2 using up all of their top pitchers to progress while the team ranked 5th can do it pretty easy in the bottom half. Great for Qld this year.

GO THE RAMS.
The under 18s are through to their 2nd successive grand final with an 18-15 win against Victoria today.
They now play the winner of WA v SA.
A huge effort for the boys to come from 5th spot and be peaking at the right end of the tournament.

A great effort and well done to Gareth and Coaching staff.
M. Nilsson one of the main batting forces in the win also and how about "Boof" Battaglia from Pine Hills with 2HR, 2 walks and a triple. I counted 7RBI's for him.
I just hope they have some Pitching left for the GF.

Because of the way the draw worked out they didnt use much before todays game.

On the down side for the juniors the u16s were beaten by territories today and now play off for 7th and 8th tomorrow against South Australia.
It must be said a most disappointing tournament for a team that were given a real chance of winning.

I notice Gareth Jones put a report on the website about the under 18' game yesterday.
It makes me wonder why all junior teams don't put in a small story after every game.
With technology, surely it wouldn't be too difficult for someone on the coaching staff to do a small report and post it every night. There are a lot of family, friends and baseball fans back here who are interested in more than just the score.

OMG! The wooden spoon is heading to Queensland from the u16 tournament.
A lot of so called experts were way off the mark with their predictions for this team.(myself included)
SA 3 defeated Qld 0.

WOW That has to be very dissapointing for many. Having only been involved upto 1st Year U14 level so far, I would have no comment. But you would think there must be a serious debriefing about this U16 result.
