The biggest rivalry of the past 20 years or so has to be Indians & Windsor. I dont know if it continues today but in the late 80's till certainly late 90's they absolutely hated each other. Nowadays it seems to be everyone hates everyone. Are there any true rivalries anymore? Surfers V Mudgee? Padres V Rapids? Allstars v everyone?

i must agree hitdog. they have their own little rivalries but nobody really knows about it do they. i remember watching my dad play and coach 10 - 15 years ago and there was always a big rivalry with indians and beenleigh. More to the point is we need the reg reagan back!!! BRING BACK THE BIFF HAHA

This is a deadset great post Stimmo.. Thanks. I can tell you that even before Indians were born, I as a Mt Gravatt Eagles player loved to get a win or 2 off the Windsor Club.. I have over the years many friends from Windsor but still love to open a can 'o' whupass on them when I can.

When I played for Mt.Gravatt Eagles before Indians arrived on the scene, my rivals were Ipswich Musketeers and Windsor Royals as they always seem to produce good teams in my grade and a win over those teams always felt really good. All Stars were rivals for different reasons, if you wanted to play rep ball, you needn't play for a southside club, you had to play for All Stars to get a look in. The sweetest victory of all was when we played Ipswich Musketeers in the Grandfinal at Holloway Field in about the 80/81 season. Eagles won 31-6 after a close 12-10 victory in the semi-final over the same opponents. Smithy
