Occasionally we stumble across something funny, amusing or just bizarre to do with baseball. Some are real, some are fake and others who cares! So this thread is a place to post the link, so we can all share our finds and have a laugh.

Sorry to any right fielders, but I love this
I was so excited at the end of Training with the Pros when I found out about the snow cones (but no grape or cherry)

I always wondered what would happen if girls played ball...
I hope she's down at Carina on the 10th of January! (probably need to stock up on Gatorade though)

HAHA pope... FREE SNO-CONE.. I love that youtube video. Have it on MP3 in the car also.
It is a misnomer that playing outfield is where the bad fielding kids get sent in Juniors.
Growing Up as a Junior, Yes I was mainly 2B or SS as I was quick and handy Infielder.. But Years later in the older Senior grades past my prime, I got sent to the OF because I still had speed but not reaction time like the young blokes. I was absolutely hopeless in the ability to track OF High balls.
It is actually a very hard art in baseball to track OF hits in the air. A great OF player is just as valuable as a great Short Stop.
My own son loves being catcher but is proving to be quite good at tracking OF hits and I would recommend to all kids to get plenty of time in the OF to learn how to do it correctly. I hardly ever played OF growing up.
He now wants to try and make Rep teams next season as a Outfielder/Catcher. Having speed and arm helps even if you don't catch the ball to get it back to 2B or 3B or cutoff quickly and shut down the base running.
Not everyone is going to be a gun SS, Catcher or Pitcher. Juniors should learn early and often how to multi-task on the field.
I was pigeon holed as a good SS/2B early on in Juniors and that hurt my game once I made Seniors Level.

Yes, but I believe that type of balk is to deceive the runner rather than batter. Probably a question to ask in the umpires section
