ramsfan44 -- Nah, Dutton isn't up to WBC standard. Who would he replace? Beresford is the future and ended up a starter, Risinger at 3rd carries a lot of whallop in his bat. Harmon is a proven infielder. Check out the work these guys have done the last 6 months -- Risinger and Harmon are solid as -- no extra weight at all. Beresford is still young and hasn't filled out yet, but is very strong. No comparison with their fitness and workout program.

Snoball,
I'm not about to 2nd Guess Deebs, i'm sure he knows many times more than I do about the Aussies.
But, Didn't Risinger share time at 1B and DH with Brett Roneberg? Hughes was 3B.
Anyway, I thought Brad Dutton with his past experience for Australia would have been a handy backup middle Infielder and a very good pinch hit option from the bench. I would have had him in the squad ahead of lesser experienced Daniel Berg.
No Question that Best F6 and F4 players are Harman and Beresford. Hughes also but i'm sure he was 3B.
From what I have read , both Harman and Hughes have some chance to crack their respective teams 25 Man out of spring training, for sure they will both start in AAA at least.
FYI, as of today, Joel Naughton and Drew Naylor have now been optioned back to the Phillies Minors. Phillies cut 12 from their 40 man.

A grade rankings. 1. Surfers 2. Rapids 3. Pine Hills 4. Indians So now this week we have 1 plays 3 and 2 plays 4. It doesn't seem fair to the No 1 team. If the competition is Northside and Southside, why don't we have a north and south champion similar to the states where they have American and National League. IMO this week should have Rapids v Pine Hills for the North Champion and Surfers v Indians for the Southside Champion with the 2 winners playing off. The Commissioners Cup is played this way so why not the finals series. I am sure a lot of rivalry has been built up over the season by playing each other so many times so there would be a lot of interest in the North and South Champion. If the finals isnt this way then competition cant be fair. WHY IS COMMISSIONERS CUP NORTH V SOUTH BUT NOT THE FINAL SERIES? ? American League winner plays National League winner in World Series.

Can someone tell me what the Rhubarb was all about in the Padres-Pine Hills Tuesday night game ??
From where I was sitting, I can only think it was conjecture over a possible Batter's Interference call or lack of one?

From where I was sitting, I can only think it was conjecture over a possible Batter's Interference call or lack of one? Umpires interpretation of the interference call was what the quiet discussion was about. The exact same call was ruled a different way in Sunday's game.

If the catcher attempted no throw to 2B for the R1 stealing, there is no Batters Interference.
I can't remember if the throw over was attemtped or not to be honest in either incident.
BTW, If Runner on 3B and Batters Interference occurs less than 2 out. R3 is out and not the batter.
Perhaps Kylebyrne or QBUA can clarify ? I can see this rule as being a Coach killer when called incorrectly.
