 OCT 2009 BQ Forum FAQ's
« Thread Started on Oct 28, 2009, 9:34pm »

Now that the BQ forum has reached 150+ members, I thought it timely to share more information and history about the BQ Forum:

Q1: Did BQ start the BQ Forum?

A1: NO, The Forum was started and designed by a single club volunteer with the help of other volunteers from several other clubs for the benefit of the greater QLD Baseball community. It was the failure of the un-moderated website forum system on many websites that prompted the moderated BQ Forum.

Q2: Does BQ have input ?
A2: BQ are the only State in Australia to openly sanction an open Forum with permission to use their branding. BQ have very minimal input but BQ staff and board members read the forum regularly and get great feedback from the majority of posts and forum members.

Q3: If BQ did not start it, why all the links back to BQ website?
A3: There are already about 5 or 6 Forum members from the USA that read and post on the BQ Forum, Links to all BQ and ABF websites were added for international visitors to learn more about Baseball QLD.

Q4: Why doesn't BQ answer my questions on the BQ Forum?
A4: The BQ Forum was designed by 1 Volunteer, it was never intended to be the ultimate resource for Club and Rule issues. The best source of information is to go through your Club committee and contact BQ direct for the most up-to-date information. There are a few occasions that BQ have responded direct on the forum, however as the BQ Forum is so new and so few members, the best communications are via your own club committee first and BQ direct by phone and email.

Q5: Can I be a BQ Forum Moderator?
A5: Of Course, now that the season is getting into the thick of things and Claxton Shield starts soon, The forum needs a few more Moderators as the BQ Forum gets larger. PM me anytime if you can help or want to ask me questions, help or have a whinge.
